Famous People
Famous people whom I met.
In 2005, Khoo Swee Chiow was attempting to break the record of staying underwater for the longest time. He mentioned that boredom will be his greatest enemy. As a result, I came out with an idea of entertaining him with my magic tricks, games and uplifting stories. This was the picture taken 1 week after his dive, with my family. I invited him over for a simple dinner.
Morris Allen and I took turns to share teaching experience in an event. Morris C Allen, Principal of six study centres which bears his name, has been an educator since 1969. He has taught English in England, the Sudan, Bermuda and Singapore. He has been a member of Mensa, the high I.Q. society, for more than 35 years, and has been the President of Mensa in Singapore.
See our Language page here for the article Morris Allen has written to Streats.
I met Roger Kool in school, sharing the stage to spread fun-learning to young pupils. Despite his blindness, he made great contribution to the local radio scene. He produced 2 CDs on correct pronunciation of English words which my siblings and I have benefited immensely from. I am very sure you and your children can benefit just as much. This is especially true if your children have to sit for oral examinations.
